For the past 18 years, The Kobey Corporation has been the master tenant concessionaire manager for San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS). BriceHouse Starboard partnered with the Kobey Corporation (BriceHouse Kobey, LLC) to enhance MTS ridership experience and maximize revenue through retail expansion along San Diego’s light rail system. The plan includes station evaluation, construction, kiosk placement, tenant improvements, and property management.

To assess the retail potential, BriceHouse Kobey undertook a six-month study and ranked each station with one of four evaluations: Excellent, Good, Fair, or Poor. These rankings considered location, traffic flow, vendor interest, public need, rentability, and accessibility.

Spurred by the survey’s results, BriceHouse Kobey currently is developing and managing multiple stations and vendors while implementing BriceHouse Starboard’s Transit Retail Kiosk Program for MTS.
