One America Plaza
BriceHouse Starboard was the developer and the construction manager for One America Plaza, at the time San Diego’s largest office building.
One America Plaza is a mixed-use development that seamlessly integrates a thirty-three-story office tower, an enclosed trolley station for the San Diego Trolley light rail transit system, and a site for a 297-room luxury hotel with additional retail space. The project occupies two full city blocks in downtown San Diego.
As construction manager for the project, BriceHouse Starboard supervised the efforts of the project's architects, consultants, and contractors. Additionally, BriceHouse Starboard handled the construction management of 260,000 square feet of tenant improvements in the office tower.
Project Features
Designed by renowned architect Helmut Jahn, the 562,000 square foot America Plaza Office Tower is a 500 foot-tall skyscraper with a distinctive faceted roof that is a hallmark of the San Diego skyline.
Covered by a curving roof of steel and translucent glass, the trolley station winds through the ground floor of the project. The retail galleria comprises two levels of shops and restaurants that line both sides of the station.
